Reviews and reputation that put you in the map pack
By Justine Coupland, RN — AHPRA-registered nurse & automation specialist · Last updated May 2026
Reviews and reputation management covers what determines how your business looks to a stranger deciding whether to call you: your Google Business Profile, the reviews on it, how you respond, your photos, your Q&A, and ongoing monitoring. Google Business Profile is the single biggest local SEO lever for Australian service businesses, powering the map pack Google shows above regular results for searches like "plumber near me". A properly optimised profile can double your phone calls inside 90 days. Reviews compound that: BrightLocal's 2026 Local Consumer Review Survey found 97% of consumers read reviews before choosing a local business, and 81% check Google reviews first (Qualtrics, 2026). LUNA Systems manages profiles and reputation on top of the LUNA Reviews platform, which generates the underlying feedback and Google reviews. This page is the management layer: weekly posts, responses, photos, Q&A, and a dashboard watching your rating, with AHPRA-safe handling for healthcare. Ranking sits with SEO. No lock-in.
How It Works
How does reputation management work with LUNA Reviews?
Discovery call
30 minutes. You tell us about your business, your service area, your competitors, and how your Google Business Profile and reviews currently sit. We listen.
Audit + plan
14-point audit of your existing Google Business Profile. Written report with what's broken, what's working, and the first 60 days of action. You keep the audit whether you hire us or not.
Fix the foundations
Month one is heavy. Category, description, services, products, hours, photos, location pages, NAP consistency across the major directories, and LUNA Reviews connected if it isn't already running.
Weekly cadence kicks in
From month two onwards, the rhythm is steady. New posts each week. Every review responded to within 24 hours. Photos refreshed monthly. Q&A monitored. The LUNA Reviews dashboard checked for anything that needs a follow-up call.
Monthly report
What moved, what didn't, what's next, including your Google rating trend and response rate from the LUNA Reviews dashboard. Plain English. Five-minute read.

What's the difference between this page and LUNA Reviews?▼
LUNA Reviews (see the review-automation page) is the engine: the conditional request that goes out after a job, the star-rating gate, and the routing that sends low scores to your team privately and high scores to Google. This page, Reviews & Reputation Management, is the ongoing layer on top: your Google Business Profile, weekly posts, responding to every review, photos, Q&A, and watching the dashboard. Most clients run both together: one generates the reviews and feedback, the other manages what happens with them.
Can't I just do this myself?▼
Yes. Plenty of business owners run a perfectly fine Google Business Profile themselves. If you've got 30 minutes a week to write a post, monitor the dashboard, respond to questions, and refresh photos, you don't need us. If you don't have those 30 minutes, or you've been "meaning to do it" for 18 months, that's when we make sense.
What if my GBP got suspended?▼
We've reinstated suspended profiles before. The process is annoying, Google's appeals system is slow and opaque, but most legitimate businesses get reinstated within 2 to 4 weeks if the appeal is written properly. We can take this on as a one-off if you don't want ongoing management.
Do you guarantee map-pack placement?▼
No. Nobody can. Google's local algorithm considers proximity to the searcher as one of three top ranking factors, and we can't change where your business is. What we can do is fix everything else: relevance, prominence, profile completeness, reviews, posts, photos, so you rank as high as your geography allows. Most local businesses with neglected profiles see 2 to 3x their previous map-pack appearances within 90 days.
How do I deal with a bad review?▼
Don't ignore it. Don't argue with it publicly. Don't try to get it removed (Google rarely removes legitimate negative reviews). Respond within 24 hours, acknowledge the issue specifically, offer to make it right offline, and keep the tone neutral. If LUNA Reviews is running, most low-rating feedback never becomes a public review in the first place: it routes to you internally, before the customer is asked to post anywhere.
What about fake reviews from competitors?▼
Real problem in some industries. Google's reporting tools work better than they used to but aren't perfect. We help flag and document suspicious reviews. Sometimes they come down. Sometimes they don't. Either way, the response you write underneath matters more than getting them removed.
Is this compliant for AHPRA-regulated practices?▼
Yes. We never publish patient testimonials in ads, posts, or profile copy. The underlying feedback collection (LUNA Reviews) is built around internal-feedback routing, giving the practice the regular patient-feedback record AHPRA and insurers expect, without turning any of it into marketing.
How often will you post?▼
Weekly. Sometimes twice in a week if there's a seasonal push (school holidays, end-of-financial-year, public holiday hours). Less often is a missed opportunity. More often is usually not worth the effort.
Is ranking and SEO part of this service?▼
No, deliberately. This service owns your Google Business Profile, your review responses, your photos, your Q&A, and your reputation across platforms. Technical SEO, backlinks, and where you actually rank in search results sit with our SEO service. The two work together but are scoped and quoted separately.
Will I see what you're posting?▼
Yes. You get a monthly summary of what we posted, the engagement, and the upcoming month's plan, plus the LUNA Reviews dashboard numbers. If you want to review every post before it goes live, we can set that up, but most clients hand the calendar to us and only review monthly.
