AI SEO for businesses.
Make your expertise easier to find.

We improve the pages and public information AI search tools can draw on when someone compares businesses like yours. Clear answers about what you do, backed by details people can check.

The tool still chooses its sources. Nobody can promise you a place in the answer.

A customer's question

“Find a Brisbane bookkeeper who works with tradies and knows Xero.”

A bookkeeping page can explain who the firm works with, its Xero experience and whether BAS support is offered. Those facts need to be true and visible.

Information for an answer

Relevant service. Correct location. Evidence someone can open and check.

A customer may then visit the website
Illustrative source path, not a live AI response. Each tool chooses its own sources; a mention or visit is never assured.

Give an answer something useful to work with

What is AI SEO?

AI SEO is the work of making business information easier to find, understand and verify in AI-generated search answers. That includes useful service pages, accurate public details and evidence that supports what you say. You may hear it called generative engine optimisation (GEO) or answer engine optimisation (AEO). It builds on ordinary SEO, with extra attention to the answers each tool produces and the sources it uses.

A customer can ask for a shortlist, compare two services or check whether a business does the job they need. A search-enabled assistant may retrieve pages from the web and combine the information into an answer. Without search, it may rely on existing knowledge that is out of date. Those are different situations.

Five platforms, different sources

Check the search.
Then check the answer.

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Grok do not produce one shared set of results. The question and location matter. So do the model, search mode and information available in that conversation.

ChatGPT

Web search

When ChatGPT searches the web, it can use current pages and show source links. A reply without a web search is a different check.

How ChatGPT search works

Perplexity

Search and cited answers

Perplexity's web-search answers link to numbered sources. It can use different models, so record the search mode and model where shown.

How Perplexity works

Gemini

Google's assistant

Gemini can draw on Google Search, but not every response shows sources. Related links are worth opening; they are not proof every sentence came from that page.

Gemini sources explained

Claude

Search when available

Claude can search the web for current information and cite the pages it uses. Record whether search ran; an answer from existing knowledge is a separate observation.

Claude web search explained

Grok

Web and X search

Grok can search the web and X. Check the mode and the sources it presents, including whether a claim comes from a website or an X post.

Business questions

Start with the decision
your customer is making.

“Make us show up in AI” gives you very little to write. A specific buying question gives you a page to improve. These are examples, not client results.

A professional service

“Find a bookkeeper in Brisbane who works with tradies.”

The useful answer is on a service page: which trades you work with, the bookkeeping work you do and the area you serve. A real qualification or professional listing gives someone another place to check.

Website design for accounting firms

A local trade

“Who installs EV chargers in Joondalup, and what do I need to ask?”

A relevant page explains whether you offer home or commercial installations, where you work and what information you need before quoting. Photos of your own work help a buyer check the fit. Only publish what you can support.

Local and business SEO

A software decision

“Compare Jobber and ServiceM8 for a small plumbing business.”

A comparison needs to name the jobs each tool handles, its limits and who it suits. A page that answers the buying question can be useful before the reader has heard of your business.

The work, in plain English

What we change.
What you receive.

We agree the work against your website and the questions that matter to your business. Existing SEO work counts. There is no reason to buy the same fix twice.

Make the useful pages accessible

We check whether search systems can reach and read your service pages, whether they are indexed where relevant, and whether your own internal links help people find them. A blocked page needs attention before another paragraph does.

Identified access problems and the fixes agreed for your site

Put your expertise into the answer

We work from questions customers ask before they enquire. Clear service descriptions, useful comparisons and first-hand examples go on the pages that answer them. You supply the business facts and approve the copy.

A question-to-page map and the agreed page edits

Check the information beyond your site

We look at the public sources appearing in relevant answers, check details you can correct and identify credible places your business belongs. A genuine association listing may help. A hundred unrelated directory entries are a different proposition.

Source corrections and relevant opportunities, with no promised coverage

Check what changes, and what it means

We save the question, tool, mode and date alongside the answer and available links. Repeat checks help show patterns. Identifiable website visits and enquiries are measured separately, using the tracking you have or the tracking we agree to add.

A record of observations, changes and the limits of attribution

Your part is the business knowledge.

Tell us which work you want more of, where you serve customers and the questions your team keeps answering. Share evidence you have permission to publish, then check the facts before the copy goes live. Website and analytics access is agreed around the changes needed.

If the whole problem is one old address in a listing you control, correct it first. You may have just done the useful part yourself.

Our own site, with the numbers attached

A small result.
Worth examining.

In our July 2026 write-up, we recorded 20 sessions from AI assistants and 3 leads over 30 days. All three leads came from ChatGPT sessions: two completed voice demos and one contact form.

The useful pages answered specific questions. We followed the traffic and checked citations separately. That is an observation from our own site, with a small sample, not a forecast for yours.

A check you can do yourself

Ask without
giving it your name.

An assistant can describe your business when you name it and still never suggest it to someone who has not heard of you. Check both.

Try a customer question

“Find a [service] in [your area] that can help with [specific job]. Show the sources for each option.”

Use public business information. Keep private customer records out of the prompt.

  1. Start a fresh conversation.

Use a search-enabled mode and state the location. Record the tool, date and mode; check whether a web search ran. Turn off saved memory or personalisation where possible, or note that it was on. A fresh chat can still use remembered information.

  2. Ask a real buying question.

Use the wording customers use before they call. Leave your business name out of this first question. Note which businesses appear and what the answer says they offer.

  3. Open the sources.

Check the actual pages behind the links. Is the address current? Does the page support the claim? Save the answer and URLs. A confident sentence can still be wrong.

  4. Then ask about your business by name.

Look for missing services or old details you can correct. Repeat the original question later with the same settings and try another tool. One answer tells you what happened in that check, not how every customer sees you.

For your developer: search access and model training are different permissions. Check OpenAI's crawler guidance and Perplexity's crawler guidance before changing access rules. Allowing a crawler does not guarantee inclusion.

Before you enquire

AI SEO questions,
answered.

How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

Start with information a customer can find and verify: a page for the service, a clear service area, useful answers and genuine evidence about the business. Check what ChatGPT says with web search, open its source links and correct the underlying information where you can. These steps can support discovery; they cannot force a recommendation. We work on those pages and sources, then record what appears.

What is the difference between AI SEO, GEO and AEO?

Generative engine optimisation (GEO) usually means improving how a business appears in generated answers. Answer engine optimisation (AEO) covers making information useful for direct answers, including some search and voice features. AI SEO is often used for both, and sometimes for using AI software to do ordinary SEO. On this page it means improving your business's information for AI search, with the tools and work named in the scope.

Does AI SEO replace ordinary SEO?

No. Search-enabled AI tools still need accessible sources. Service pages, internal links and useful content remain part of the work. If you already have an SEO agency or an in-house team, we agree who owns each change so you are not paying twice for the same task. Our broader SEO service covers Google Search and local visibility alongside AI discovery.

Is this a service that writes lots of AI blog posts?

No. AI software can help with research or drafting, but publishing more text does not establish expertise. The useful work may be correcting one service page, explaining a comparison or making existing evidence easier to find. Facts about your business need your input and approval, regardless of who or what drafted the sentence.

How much do AI SEO services cost?

We quote the work after looking at your website, the services you want found and the questions worth checking. The proposal names the page changes, source work and checks included, plus your approval responsibilities. There is no fixed AI SEO package or allowance listed on this page. Send your website and a customer question to start the enquiry.

How long does it take to appear in AI answers?

There is no dependable deadline for a mention or citation. It depends on the sources available, the work required and how each platform retrieves information. Correcting your website does not instantly update every answer about it. We agree what to check and keep dated observations so a change can be assessed without turning one screenshot into a result claim.

Can you measure enquiries from AI search?

Where analytics or enquiry tracking identifies the source, we can connect a visit to a call, form or booking. Some visits have no identifiable referrer, and someone may read an answer then contact you another way. A business mention, a linked source, a visit and an enquiry are different measures. We state what is observable and leave unknown attribution unknown.

Do I need a new website or special AI schema?

We check your existing website first. Clear visible content, working internal links and appropriate search access often matter before a rebuild. Structured data should describe what is on the page; it is not a payment for citations. Google says no special schema or new AI text file is needed for AI Overviews or AI Mode. Another platform's access rules need their own check.
