Grow your clinic without breaking AHPRA advertising rules
We build and market Australian healthcare practices the compliant way: no banned testimonials, no prohibited claims, no Schedule 4 slip-ups. Websites, SEO and Google that bring patients in and keep AHPRA off your back.
The problem
Clinic marketing is a regulatory minefield
The tactics that work for every other business are banned in regulated health. Here is what a generalist agency gets wrong, with you carrying the risk.
The testimonial ban
AHPRA prohibits testimonials in advertising for regulated health services. A glowing patient quote on your homepage or in a Google ad is a breach, even when it is true and the patient is happy to give it.
Before and after restrictions
Before and after imagery is tightly restricted, and for cosmetic surgery it is off the table in ad creative entirely. Most agencies build a results carousel without realising it is non-compliant.
Schedule 4 brand names
The TGA bans advertising prescription-only substances to the public. Naming Botox, Dysport or specific fillers in your marketing is a TGA breach, even in a blog post or a social caption.
Superlatives and outcome claims
'Best', 'leading', 'safe', 'pain-free', 'guaranteed results' are treated as non-compliant by default. A generic copywriter will reach for exactly these words because they convert. That is the problem.
When advertising breaches AHPRA's rules, it is the registered practitioner who carries the consequence: a notification, mandatory removal, and in serious cases a fine. Your agency walks away. We build so that situation never arises. More detail in our guide to AHPRA-compliant marketing in 2026.
Why us
Marketing run by a registered nurse
LUNA Systems was founded by Justine Coupland, a registered nurse (AHPRA NMW0002113429). That is the difference. We understand healthcare advertising compliance from the inside, not from a checklist a generalist agency downloaded once and forgot.
It means we know why a testimonial is a breach before we are tempted to write one, why a Schedule 4 brand name cannot appear in a caption, and where the line sits between education and a prohibited claim. We build your marketing inside those rules from the brief, so getting found never costs you your registration.

FAQ
Common questions
What does AHPRA-compliant marketing actually mean?โผ
It means every page, ad, post and review workflow we build for your clinic is checked against AHPRA's advertising guidelines and the National Law before it goes live. In practice that means no patient testimonials in advertising, no prohibited before and after imagery, no superlative or outcome claims, no Schedule 4 brand names, and no incentives that could influence a treatment decision. We design inside those lines from the start rather than patching them in after a complaint.
Why does a regular marketing agency get clinics in trouble?โผ
Because the tactics that work everywhere else are banned in regulated health. A generalist agency will put five-star patient quotes on your homepage, run a before and after carousel, write 'best clinic in Brisbane', and set up a 'leave us a review' campaign. Each of those is a breach. When AHPRA acts on it, the registered practitioner carries the regulatory risk, not the agency. We have seen it happen, and it is avoidable.
Is LUNA really nurse-founded?โผ
Yes. LUNA Systems was founded by Justine Coupland, a registered nurse (AHPRA registration NMW0002113429). That means we understand healthcare compliance from the inside, not from a checklist a generalist agency downloaded once. It is the reason clinics trust us to market them without putting their registration at risk. We are not lawyers, and for borderline campaigns we recommend your own AHPRA-experienced lawyer signs off on the key pieces.
Do you only work with cosmetic clinics?โผ
No. We work across Australian healthcare: GP and medical clinics, dental practices, allied health, specialists and surgical practices, as well as cosmetic and aesthetic clinics. The advertising rules apply to every regulated health service, though they bite hardest in cosmetics, which is why we often use cosmetic examples. Whatever your registration category, the principle is the same: get found and get booked without breaching the rules.
Will I have to give up testimonials and before and after photos?โผ
In advertising, mostly yes. You can show factual information about your services, your clinic and team, and patient-experience feedback collected compliantly. What you cannot do is run an ad with patient quotes or publish before and after carousels of regulated procedures. We walk you through exactly what is safe and what is not, and we build review presence the compliant way instead.
How do you handle Google reviews and reputation?โผ
The standard 'leave us a review' workflow is restricted for regulated health services, so we do not run it that way. We collect patient-experience feedback through compliant surveys, and for reviews that come in organically we manage responses under AHPRA's review-response guidance. The goal is genuine review presence without it becoming a testimonial breach.
How quickly will I see results?โผ
It depends on the channel. Google Ads can produce bookings within days. Meta Ads usually convert within the first few weeks. SEO and Google Business Profile are slower, with meaningful ranking movement around 60 to 90 days and lead-flow changes building over several months. A new clinic website is typically live in two to four weeks. We map a realistic plan with you on the discovery call rather than promising overnight results.
